WHAT IS OZONATED OLIVE OIL?
Ozonated Olive Oil and other Ozonated Oils have been used for over 100 years and was once sold by the famous inventor Nikola Tesla under the name Glycozone. It was approved by the US Surgeon General for use for healing purposes. After the creation of the FDA many natural therapies were suppressed and replaced with pharmaceuticals. In recent decades natural therapies, including Ozonated Oil, are having a very strong global resurgence – with very good reason.
Ozone, also known as Activated Oxygen, is created by taking pure oxygen and electrically charging it. The pure oxygen, or O2 (two oxygen atoms), is changed to pure Ozone or O3 (three oxygen atoms). Ozone is then pumped into the desired raw oil where the electrically charged oxygen is slowly infused resulting in Ozonated Oil.
The strength of Ozonated Oil is measured by the amount of peroxide in the product, the Peroxide Value (PV). Ozonated Oil specifications are defined by the International Scientific Committee of Ozone Therapy (ISCO3).

PV represents the amount of peroxides expressed in milliequivalents of Activated Oxygen contained in 1 kg of product (mEqO2/kg). Typically:
- The lower the PV, the greater is its regenerative and healing capacity with a potential to induce synthesis of Growth Factors and accelerate the cell cycle.
- The higher the PV, the higher the antimicrobial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory capacity since the peroxide released will be greater.
